The exhaust system for MERCEDES G55 AMG V8 Kompressor is composed by 4-2-1 headers, metallic catalytic converters and the side mufflers.

The stock "log-type" headers, small and restrictive, are replace by huge long tube, equal lenght components.
These are much more free flowing and give a healty power increase. The piping have been designed to fit perfectly into the wheel arches avoiding any interference with the wheels and suspensions.

The catalytic converters, as in the Supersprint tradition, are replaced by a HJS metallic unit with 100 cells per square inch. They are much more efficient and free-flowing but at the same time offers an optimal reduction of pollutant gas.

The kit composed by headers and cats can be fitted also with the OEM mufflers.
This system is extremely recommended when a engine kit is fitted (for example a smaller compressor pulley and a ECU tune) because the stock exhaust is a real bottleneck.

If you're looking only for a more involving and sportier exhaust tone and don't want to replace the stock manifolds, the setup recommended is composed by downpipes with metallic catalytic converters and side mufflers.
The power increase is lower than with the headers but the system is also cheaper.
A very interesting side effect of the new sports cats is the lower operating temperature of the engine bay.
The free flowing system and the position of the cats, under the frame instead of inside the engine bay greatly reduce the heat soak.

For just sound and looks it's possible to fit just the side mufflers.
They have been designed to give a very deep rumble and to improve the ground clearance for off road use.

The look is the perfect match of sportiness and class, with rear exhaust available with twin oval 120x80 mm or 76 mm tail pipes on both sides, perfectly integrated in side skirts for a sporty but still elegant result.

Following our very long tradition (est.1955), the main target is not to change the nature of the car, loosing comfort in the process, but to make the engine note more pleasant and distinctive, without being excessive, but even more important, to increase the performance. We still offer a louder, more aggressive setup for enthusiasts.
