The exhaust system for BMW M3 E92 Coupè 4.0 V8 is composed by a front pipes left + right with or without a metallic catalytic converters, "X-Pipe"(resonated or not), and rear mufflers (available in 3 types)

The catalytic converters, as in the Supersprint tradition, are replaced by a HJS metallic units with 100 cells per square inch. They are much more efficient and free-flowing but at the same time offers an optimal reduction of pollutant gas.
The front catless pipe (decat pipes) are for race use, a ECU tune is recommended.
There's also a resonated version of the decat pipes, that offer a smoother and more refined sound, with less metallic tone.

The centre section is available both in silenced and unsilenced version. The silenced is recommended to get stock-like levels of comfort when fitted with the homologated rear exhaust. To get a more aggressive but still road use compatible setup the unsilenced x-pipe coupled with the homologated rear exhaust is recommended.

For track use or to enthusiasts that wants a very raw and involving sound there are two choices of separated rear mufflers.
The "Racing" mufflers give a very deep tone. Not recommended on DCT equipped cars.
The "F1 Race" mufflers have a very tricky internal design, specifically designed to increase the high pitch tone at high revs.

The full racing system (catless front pipes, unresonated x-pipe, race or F1 race mufflers) weights 27.7 KG against 44 of the OEM system.

As the system is completely modular, it can match any needs in terms of sound and performance.

The look is the perfect match of sportiness and class, with a quad pipes setups (80 mm), perfectly integrated in the bumper line, for a sporty but still elegant result. The outlets are lipped on the homologated version, lipless on the race ones.
