The exhaust system for the Audi TT-RS QUATTRO 2.5 TFSI is composed by a turbo downpipe kit with or without a metallic cat (200 CPSI), a centre section (available in resonated or not resonated versions), and a rear exhaust fitted with a bypass valve.
 
The rear exhaust has a symmetrical design, with the valve fitted upstream to the silencer. This design allows for a perfectly equal flow between the right and left side both in open and closed mode. The stock component has the valve fitted downstream and on one side, the flow is different between the two sides and it's a restriction.
 
The valve, pneumatically actuated, is compatible with the OEM control management system.
When the valve is open the exhaust becomes a straight pipe, when it's closed the gas flow passes through a direct flow silencer.
The performance remains the same in both modes, and better then the stock exhaust.
 
The catalytic converter, as in the Supersprint tradition, is replaced by a HJS metallic unit with 200 cells per square inch. It's much more efficient and free-flowing but at the same time offers an optimal reduction of pollutant gas.
 
The downpipe must be fitted with the rest of the system. There are two options available: the centre pipe is the louder one, while the centre exhaust is a milder choice, to keep the comfort levels closer to the stock system but with a sportier tone.

If you're looking only for a more involving and sportier exhaust tone and don't want to replace the downpipe, the "cat-back" setup is recommended. It's composed by front pipes for the stock cats, the centre pipe and the rear exhaust.
 
Following the very long Supersprint tradition (est.1955), our main target is not to change the nature of the car, loosing comfort in the process, but to make the engine note more pleasant and distinctive, without being excessive, but even more important, to increase the performance. We still offer a louder, more aggressive setup for enthusiasts.
 
On this car the tailpipes are fitted to the bumper and not to the exhaust. As with the stock exhaust, the Supersprint doesn't change the look of the car, the exit pipes end inside the OEM tailpipes.
