Supersprint full exhaust system development for BMW F30 328i 2.0T

10/16/2012

Supersprint has developed a high performance, full exhaust system for the BMW F30 328i.

This car is equipped with the petrol 2.0 cc. inline 4 cylinders turbocharged engine, which develops 254 hp.

The new exhaust system it’s composed by:

987321: Downpipe with HJS metallic catalytic converter (200 CPSI)

987812: Front pipe

987813: Centre pipe (or centre silenced section - item 987803)

987806: Rear exhaust with twin exits (80 mm each)

The rear exhaust is also available in quad pipe version (2 endpipes for each side, the bumper needs to be trimmed):

Both versions (Twin pipe and quad pipe) are E.E.C. homologated.

The original ceramic coated catalytic converter, has been replaced by a hi-flow and hi-performance HJS metallic sport unit that allows a substantial decrease of back pressure but which, at the same time, keeps the enviromental specs within the E.C.C. limits permitted by law. pollutant gasses in check without turning on the CEL.

This can be coupled with the rest of the system, choosing between a pipe only centre section (centre pipe) or with a silenced one (centre exhaust) if you're looking for comfort and OEM-like sound levels, but with a sportier tone.

The exhaust kit is  is completely modular, and the possible combinations of all its single components allow for several, different set-ups, from full system to a cat-back, to a "simple" rear exhaust choice, to meet each and every owner’s, individual needs.

For the optimum sound level, for an everyday street driving, without exceeding of too much, the combination of our centre pipe and rear exhaust is normally the exhaust configuration we recommend.

For a track driving experience, on the other hand, we suggest the combination of our HJS metallic catalytic converter, our centre pipe and one of our two rear exhausts options.

Following the Supersprint very long tradition (est. 1955), our main target is not to change the nature of the car, loosing comfort in the process, but to make the engine note more pleasant and characteristic without being excessive, and to increase the performance.

The look is the perfect match of sportiness and class, with round, lipped, chromed, slash cut endpipes that match the design of the car and follow the line of the bumper.
