The 4.4l V8 Twin Turbo S63N engine is very powerful, in its standard 600 Hp configuration; however it has a much higher potential, thanks to its ingenious exhaust manifold, designed to make the most out of the twin scroll turbos.
Unfortunately most of this potential is chocked down by too small diameter, badly merged primaries on the manifolds, and by awfully restrictive catalytics.
While the std. cat-back exhaust section is well designed, and sized properly, the front section is seriously compromised.
Supersprint has designed a totally new set of tubular headers, and turbo downpipes to go with them.
This very same Supersprint exhaust is also applicable for all of the 2011-2017 F10 M5 (560 Hp) versions, including the 2016 M5 "Competition Package" (575 Hp).
This exhaust combination lets the engine perform to its full, 800+ potential, when mated to a reprogramming of the ECU.
Our R&L Downpipe kit uses HJS Motorsport 100 cpsi, large volume metallic cats, which guarantee the same, free flowing characteristics as our set of cat-deleting, straight Race pipes.
This Supersprint Oversize exhaust setup makes the gas backpressure to drop down to racecar engine levels, yet it reduces the emissions to become Euro 4 compliant.
Installing these two exhaust components alone accounts for the entire gains in peak hp and torque.
For FIA-Race applications, our Cat-less Downpipes can be mated to the Supersprint specific front section, with HJS Motorsport cats placed further downstream.
Getting better performance on the F10 M5 is a huge accomplishment for our entire R&D Team; however our work did not stop here.
We wanted more sound and better style at the same time, therefore we have developed a totally new cat-back exhaust to match our headers and turbo downpipes.
The Supersprint cat-back components are available in multiple options, for a perfectly customized modulation of the sound.
The resonated R & L front section is the choice for stealth driving; the straight pipes ensure a raspier bark.
The Independent, separate R&L mid pipes provide for a raw, V8 muscle car sound, while the merged H-Pipes guarantee a more refined, smoother note.
The Supersprint R&L rear mufflers, available in the Sport or Race (fixed) and in the Dual sound mode version (with flaps), are the icing on the cake.
Each type of rear mufflers is designed to accept the stock bumper diffuser.
As always, the installation is a plain and simple process, with no modifications required.
