Supersprint is proud to offer its true performance exhaust for one of the the newer, most prestigious BMW Motorsport car, the 2020 BMW M8 Gran Coupè Competition.
As always, the most critical, restrictive and power robbing components are found in the front section of the exhaust.
Changing the rear muffler alone has a limited or no effect on performance.

Our R&D team started out by evaluating that the oem manifold and the dual-stage downpipe/catalytic assembly + OPF / particle filter system puts a serious limitation to the performance potential of this 625 Hp magnificent powerplant, the incredibly solid 4.4L Twin Turbo V8 N63 engine.
This is the most critical area of the exhaust, by far.
Our new Tubular Headers and R&L Turbo Downpipes totally eliminate the restrictions, supporting even the most radical conversion to 800+ Hp.
The new Supersprint headers use the same pattern as the stock exhaust manifold, which merges the primaries in pairs, from opposite-side cilynders (based upon the specific firing pattern of the eight individual cylinders).
This feature makes the most advantage of the exhaust gas charge, when entering the D-shaped inlet ports of the twin scroll turbos.
Furthermore, the Supersprint , full tubular design of the indivudual primary runners eliminates all of the necked down, compromised sections of the undersized stock manifolds, while the precision crafted, merge collectors reduce the thermal losses.
This in turn improves the turbo efficiency by a great amount, transforming the faster spooling into additional energy, for a massive increase in boost pressure of the intake air charge, at all rpm.
The grade of the tubing for the Supersprint headers is the 310S, a special steel alloy which had been developed specifically by the metal industry, rising to fame on F1 and other premier race headers applications.
The thermal stablity of this unique material, and the design of the Supersprint's own expansion joints / sealing rings ensure a leak-free operation, under the most the extreme temperature and operating conditions, and a service-free, long life of the headers.
When mated to the Supersprint free-flowing Turbo Downpipes, which use a set of high volume, 130mm HJS Motorsport R&L cats, with the lowest 100 cpsi density, this Supersprint exhaust system translates into a much stronger torque at low and mid rpm, as well as substantially more hp at peak.
The Supersprint R&L Downpipes can also be used as a stage 1 exhaust upgrade in conjunction with the stock manifolds, for more conservative, milder tunes.
They allow the engine to work at lower operating temperatures, reducing heat soak drastically, ensuring more consistent performance.
Installation is a direct, bolt-on job. No modifications required.
