The Leon Cupra R is the model which finally put Seat in the same league with the Golf GTI, and with its other competitors models.
This car not only shared the engine, but it also used the same oem Turbo Downpipe of the Audi S3 Quattro, which is a split-design, free-flowing unit.
A smart decision made by the Seat R&D engineers, as it leaves a wide opening for more power and torque.
The Supersprint Y-pipe system complements the stock S3-design downpipe to perfection, eliminating the bottleneck made by the stock, dual catalytics.
With the Supersprint system in place, the Leon Cupra R can easily reach the same performance potential of the Audi S3, and even beats it with faster acceleration in straight line, thanks to the overall lighter weight, and to the reduced drivetrain losses of the front wheel system.
