Changing the exhaust is a very good upgrade in a tuning program. It's one of the most important aftermarket parts, and if you're looking for a performance increase, with a power and torque gain, exhaust mods are always recommended.
The Supersprint sport exhaust for Audi A1 1.4 TFSI is composed by:
Turbo downpipe right after the turbocharger, a front pipe with a metallic catalytic converter ( sports cat ) or without ( decat pipe ), a centre pipe and a rear muffler with chrome tips

The turbo downpipe replaces the OEM cat with simple pipe, for optimal flow and less heat diffusion in the engine bay.

The new sports cat, as in the Supersprint tradition, is a HJS metallic cat 200 cells per square inch ( CPSI ), and it's placed under the frame of the car. It's much more efficient and free-flowing but at the same time offers an optimal reduction of pollutant gas.

The secondary O2 sensor is originally placed right downstream of the stock cat so there will be some electronic anomalies.
The Check Engine Light will turn on. Worse fuel efficiency and performance may also be consequences. On some models it can also send the car in recovery / limp mode.
To avoid this it's necessary to either extend the sensor wire and connect the sensor downstream of the Supersprint cat if installed, fit a sensor cheater / microcat between bung and sensor, or reprogram the ECU to deactivate the sensor or change the emission control range.
Ask for details on these operations.
The decat / catless version is recommended for track use, it's lighter and it requires a ECU tune / reprogramming.
The O2 sensor issue must be addressed.


If you're looking for a more involving and sportier exhaust tone and don't want to replace the downpipe, the "cat-back" setup is recommended. It's composed by front pipe, centre pipe and rear silencer.
Because the 1st stock silencer is in the front section, the front pipe is necessary to replace it.
The axle-back, composed by the rear muffler, complete with E.E.C. homologation, offers a mild sound increase, with a deeper tone.

Following our very long tradition (est.1955), the main target of a Supersprint exhaust is not to change the nature of the car, loosing comfort in the process, but to make the engine note more pleasant and distinctive, without being excessive, but even more important, to increase the performance. We still offer a louder, more aggressive setup for enthusiasts.
The look is always the perfect match of sportiness and class, with rear exhausts fitted with twin round tail pipes (80 mm) perfectly integrated in the bumper line, for a sporty but still elegant result.
On some model we offer the exhaust tips in different finish other than the usual chrome, like matt black or satin silver. On some others we offer the choice to keep the OEM outlets. Ask about it.
