The S85 V10 5.0l powerplant is the last of the 8500 rpm -redline, large displacement N/A engines made by BMW Motorsport.
It greatly benefits of exhaust upgrades, due to the restrictive, power-robbing design of the initial section, in particular the layout of the dreaded stock headers / catalytic.
The Supersprint long-tube headers, thanks to their outstanding design, from the large diameter, individual primary tube runners, down to the F1 collectors, eliminates the restriction made by the primary catalytics, and by the crushed down, heavily compromised stock headers primaries, guaranteeing a solid gain of 60+ Hp over the factory exhaust.
Our system uses a set of HJS Motorsport, 100 cpsi high flowing metallic cats, and a 70mm Oversize diameter X-pipe section, designed specifically to fit the Convertible, reinforced chassis, with no modifications required.
The Supersprint R&L rear mufflers, built with straight-thru inner perforated cores, no baffles, no reflective chambers, complement the system, and they are available in two distinct versions, the Sport/Touring and the Race F1, for a wide customization of the sound.
