Supersprint has been the first exhaust specialist to offer a set of performance turbo downpipes for the Mercedes AMG C63 and C63 S.
The R&D process started 12 months before the regular C63 had been released to the public.
We thoroughly studied and evaluated the stock cat-back section of the exhaust, and came to the conclusion that the AMG Development Team has done a perfect job in designing a system with valve flaps, which flows just great.
No room for improvement in this area.
However there is a major bottleneck in the exhaust, which is the Turbo downpipe section with its integrated, multiple catalytics.
The restriction made by the AMG factory downpipes compromise the performance and tame down the sound heavily.
That is the only area of the entire exhaust where we have focused our efforts.
The Supersprint oversize diameter, stainless downpipes eliminate the bottleneck of the stock dual-stage catalytic system, for a major improvement in performance and a superior exhaust sound.
They are designed to work with and complement the AMG factory cat-back exhaust.
Depending on the specific engine software tune and boost pressure map, the gains in torque and peak hp are massive, ranging from + 30 hp to + 80 hp.
The Supersprint R&L Turbo downpipes come in several options, with HJS Motorsport, 130mm high-volume, 100 cpsi cats, or alternatively with 200 cpsi cats.
The flow of the 200 cpsi system is very close to our cat-deleting Race downpipes, but with added efficiency in the emission control.
The 100 cpsi Race cats guarantee the exact same free-flowing and sound enhancement as the catless pipes, however with a greatly reduced exhaust smell.
Each of the Supersprint exhaust downpipe systems is handcrafted individually, at our Factory in Italy.
Our precision jigs and pipe form equipment ensure the most precise alignment and a perfect fitment in the car, on all of the LHD and the RHD models.
Bolting the on to the stock cat-back exhaust requires no modifications, thanks to the same factory-spec ball joints; everything falls into place, easily.
We also have downpipes available for the later generation, GPF equipped versions, with threaded bungs for the exhaust gas pressure lines.
