The Alpina E36 B8, with its 4.0L / 4.6L M60/M62 V8 engine, is a unique, rare model indeed.

Years ago, Supersprint had developed a performance enhancing, full exhaust system with oversized, tubular headers, which lets the engine breathe free, increasing the peak hp and the midrange torque, considerably.

The restrictive, std. manifolds are double-walled, meaning that their inner section, the pipes where the exhaust gas actually is flowing through, is even smaller than how it looks from outside.

Our very special 4-2-1 design Tubular headers have larger primaries and bigger, dual secondary downpipes as well.

The increased efficiency of the headers is completed by the Supersprint R&L front section, available in a catted, and in straight-thru versions, and by the proprietary, dual pipe rear muffler system.

Over the years, this limited edition Alpina model has become the inspiration for many BMW E36 engine conversion projects to the M60/M62, and even to the S62 5.0L V8 powerplant.

The Supersprint headers and exhaust system is the best complement, guaranteeing a perfect fitment, and ensuring the proper clearance with the steering shaft and the other engine ancillaries.
