Supersprint has developed a R&L rear muffler kit, with dual-sound mode, for the 2007 - 2012 Audi S3 hatchback and S3 Sportback (8P).

The Supersprint silencer canister is made with a specific design, featuring a straight-thru, non-resonated inner bypass, which functions as a perfect, unrestricted muffler delete.

Built within the same canister, the quiet path ensures a droning-free sound under selected driving conditions.

Also, the R&L, dual outlet design actually is a functional feature, not just a cosmetic add-on; left side - loud path, right side - quiet path.

It is designed to use the stock, Audi exhaust flap management system.

The factory-programmed mapping is pre-set to switch to the closed mode, between 2300 and 3200 rpm, when in 4th, 5th and 6th gear.

Other than this, during all of the driving conditions, the flap remains open, regardless of the rpm, engine load, speed.

This new rear muffler complements all of the Supersprint, current exhaust options, starting from the Turbo downpipe, in both the 70mm and the 76mm versions.

The 70mm Supersprint full system is sized to guarantee optimum performance gains on the stock engine, and in conjunction with any software modications up to 320 Hp.

For more radical conversions (320 to 380 Hp), we recommend using the Supersprint 76mm full exhaust.

We guarantee, the Supersprint Turbo D/P, the non-resonated mid pipe and this new, flap-rear muffler together, are the wildest-sounding exhaust setup ever made for the S3 8P 2.0TFSI.

As an alternative, using the SS resonated mid section changes the sound to a much more civilized note, albeit totally different than stock.

Installation is straightforward, as usual; no modification required, other than cutting a new valence in the rear bumper diffuser, for the right-side tip.
