Sport exhaust system for Audi S5 3.0 TFSI
100% stainless steel Oversize 2 x Ø65mm → 2 x Ø55mm → 2 x Ø60mm
The 3.0 TFSI V6 ha a very high tuning potential.
The Supersprint system is completely modular to match any need, from just sound and looks to various tuning steps with increase in performance.
For the catback system (sound and look) we recommend:
767731 + 767712 + 767143 + rear mufflers, available with:
4x90mm round tips
145x96mm oval tips
exit pipes for RS5 diffuser, which has integrated tailpipes.
For performance increase we have different solutions:
-The cheaper is composed by the downpipes that replaces the OEM cats, 767711. For road use we recommend to couple them with the front pipe with sports cats 767742+767702+767732 to reduct pollutant emissions.
-The next step is composed by the "Street" headers 769101 + 769111. These not only replace the OEM cats but also improve the gas flow thanks to longer and equale lenght primary pipes, with oversize bore. For road use we recommend the front pipe with sports cats.
-The most extreme system is composed by the "Racing" headers 769101 + 769131, to be fitted as a kit with the front pipes with or without cats 767702/32/12.
These headers require a specific ECU tune, specifically with some modifications to the primary O2 sensor management, to avoid Check Engine Light, limp mode and malfunctioning of the engine. This is because the sensor are farther away from the engine.
Recommended with reduced compressor pulley and other modifications ("stage 2")

AUDI S5 3.0 TFSI - FULL SUPERSPRINT EXHAUST SYSTEM
Supersprint full exhaust system for Audi S5 Sportback 3.0 TFSI.
Supersprint has developed a high performance, full exhaust system for all of the Audi Quattro models with the last generation 3.0 V6 TFSI Supercharged engine. It’s made by a set of long-tube headers, R+L high-flow metallic cats, a centre section and R+L rear mufflers, available with either quad-tips, or with dual, oval design tips.
A correspondent Supersprint exhaust system, which shares the headers and the cats, but have a specific centre section and rear mufflers, has been developed for the S5 3.0T Coupe/ Cabrio, the S4 B8 3.0T Sedan / Avant, the A7 3.0 TFSI Quattro and for the latest A6 3.0 TFSI Quattro. Each of these Supersprint individual exhausts, including the headers, has been designed to fit both the LHD as well as the RHD version of each model.
This new, V6 engine design, which the Audi Factory has developed to reduce fuel consumption, emissions, weight and overall dimensioning from the previous, naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 motor, is fitted with a crankshaft powered supercharger, although its commercial denomination officially is 3.0 T. This is a radical design change, for a company well known for its excellence with its advanced, turbo charging technology. Regardless, this S/C engine has proved to offer a huge potential for performance gains, most notably via ECU and exhaust modifications.
From the acoustic point of view, this V6 is totally different from the V8, in particular it shows a heavy resonance, or droning sound, in the low-to-mid rpm range. This may let down some Audi S enthusiasts, steering them away from any possible exhaust modification. Supersprint worked hard to improve in this area, developing an exhaust which guarantees a healthy, sport sound, but at the same time neutralizes the annoying frequencies in the most critical rpm range. Supersprint offers a sound worthy of the performance of the car, but without compromising the onboard comfort.
As always, the main focus of Supersprint remains the maximum increase in horsepower and torque.
At the end of our R&D activity, we are proud to say that the target has been hit again.
The Supersprint exhaust system is completely modular, and the possible combinations of its single components allow for several, different set-ups, from full headers to cat-back, to meet each and every ownewr’s, individual need.
The Supersprint exhaust setup for the best performance is made by the following components:
-
769101 Headers R. +L.
The “Independent Primary Pipe” design allows for an easier installation process, given the constraint of the limited space available in the engine bay.
Each progressive step is explained down to its smallest detail, in the mounting instruction book that comes with each headers package.
The removal of the engine or the gearbox is not required.
The same, multi-piece design, offers an even more important feature: the neutralization of any heat-induced tension among the single pipes, which could ultimately cause the failure of the thin wall, lightweight tubing, the most deadly enemy of any tubular headers.
The Supersprint headers, although made with conventional material, such as the 304 stainless steel, is as tough as it gets, offering an unlimited durability, under any condition, from high- speed, autobahn driving, to road touring, down to the most grueling, race track use.
Supersprint hand builds each and every headers, individually.
The finishing quality of the welds, the perfection of the fitment is second to none.
We even design, develop and manufacture the special, proprietary sealing rings, in house.
-
769131 3->1 collectors “racing”
The length and the diameter (cross section) of the pipes on these collectors, and their race inspired, merge section, complete the primary headers pipes to perfection.
This full set-up is designed for the highest performance, with no compromise.
The difference between the Supersprint and the stock headers is impressive, and testifies for the performance improvement, just at the first glance:
On top: stock cast iron manifold with car and part of the rest of the exhaust.
Just below: Supersprint headers mated to the “Street type”, 769111 shorther collector, and its connecting pipe, the 767731.
At the bottom: the same 769111 headers in its “Race type” configuration, with the 769131 , longer runner collector.

767702
and
767732
Front exhaust section, with twin, parallel mounted, large-volume, HJS metallic sports cats – 200 CPSI, euro 5 emission compliant.
The positioning of the Supersprint cats, downstream in the exhaust line, and their freer flowing, higher efficiency, are a great contribute to the performance increase, making the design of longer headers runners possible, at the same time.
Supersprint has always used the best metallic catalytic converters available on the market, made by HJS in Germany, tested and endorsed by the Factory Race Teams of each German car manufacturers’.

767743
E.C.C. homologated centre exhaust
The inner silencer canister design and the layout of the pipes have been specifically developed by Supersprint for the 3.0 TFSI engine, with the aim to delete any form of droning in the low-to-mid rpm range.
This guarantees an optimum inside-cabin comfort, during long trips, at cruising speeds, and also under lighter- load, acceleration conditions, even when in the fully automatic DSG mode.

E.C.C. homologated R&L rear mufflers, available with quad, 90mm round tips, or witrh dual, oval tips, 145x95mm.
While adding a nice, sporty sound note, these Supersprint components do make the difference in terms of looks, thanks to the perfect design and the proper dimensioning of the end tips, which are coated with a surface hardened, industrial grade, extremely resistant chrome plating.
These rear mufflers, just like all of the other Supersprint exhaust components, fit perfectly to the car, without any modification to the frame, bodywork or diffuser, and they are compatible with the stock center resonator as well.
During its development process, this Supersprint, full exhaust configuration has been exetnsively tested against the stock exhaust, back to back, on the MAHA 4x4 braked dynometer, the most reliable dynometer in the automotive industry.
Amazingly, this particular test bed car, with the only addition of an aftermarket air filter element and 100 RON, pump fuel, has put down more Hp and torque than the Factory claims.
356 hp @ 5915 rpm
462,1 nm @ 4930 rpm
Here’s the results with the Supersprint full system in place.
369,2 hp @ 5755 rpm
480,8 hp @ 5130 rpm
The increase in max Hp is + 13 Hp, while the torque climbs by + 18.7 nm.
Also, the power and torque curves both stay thick and meaty, with no dips at any rpm.
The very same car, with the Supersprint full exhaust system, also received an ECU tune, done by the world-known Audi specialist, Revo Technik.
The results are nothing short of amazing!
447 hp @ 6795 rpm
514,5 nm @ 4665 rpm
For comparison purposes, we tested the ECU tuned car with the stock exhaust.
Comparative chart of the car with the Revo remap and stock exhaust VS Revo remap + Supersprint full exhaust:
The Supersprint exhaust releases the full potential out of the 3.0 V6 engine, squeezing out the last Hp available.
When compared to the claimed factory figures, this setup gives the car +114 hp and +75 nm. A far superior performance than Audi’s own RS5 V8 (which, unfortunately, proved to be weaker than the official literature reads)!
The Supersprint modular exhaust design offers the option of several, different exhaust setups.
The cat-back exhaust is a classic, in the tradition of Supersprint.
It is made by the R&L , front straight pipes (767731 + 767712), which delete the small volume, stock front resonators, by the center muffler (767743) and by the R+L rear mufflers.
With this particular Supersprint setup, the car picks up a deep, sporty sound note, yet it retains the ideal inside-cabin comfort.
Using the Supersprint center, X-pipe section, in place of the mid-silencer, adds an angry, raspy note, which is most suited to the race track.
Finally, the Supersprint R&L rear mufflers can be fitted to the stock exhaust, bringing a more conservative, sportier sound in this case, and of course the Supersprint trademark, superb looks,
A reverse setup is also possible, with the use of the Supersprint headers + metallic cats, in conjunction with the stock cat-back system, as these components are perfectly compatible with each other.
The sound will be more raspy, not as deep as with the full Supersprint exhaust in place; however this is an option which some S5 owner may like to have.
For some selected Countries, where the supply of quality, lead-free fuel is a problem, Supersprint offers the possibility of having a totally cat-less system, thanks to the addition of the 767711 downpipes.
This specific kit is compatible with the stock, cast iron manifolds, as well as with the “Street type” Supersprint headers, the 769101 + 769111.
In both of the above cases, it’s necessary to have the ECU modified / reprogrammed, in order to delete any emission-related error code.
However, deleting the cats will only add Hp and torque if mated to the Supersprint headers (Street or Race).
Retaining the stock, cast manifolds does not allow for any significant improvement in performance.
Supersprint welcomes further questions and inquries about this new, performance exhaust.
