BMW E28 M5 (S38 Engine - 255 Hp) '86 -> '87 (USA Model)

The 1984-1988 BMW M5 E28 is the first M5 car that came with with the S38 Motorsport engine, derived closely from the legendary 3.6L  S88 powerplant of the M1, utilizing individual cilynder throttles, 4-valve DOHC and other F1 technology-inspired design features.

An authentic breakthrough, evolutionary step in engine technology applied to sportscars, made for racetrack driving, long distance commuting and everyday use, at the same time.
While the E28 M5 can be considered as a revolutionary car, from the performance standpoint, it also has a few weak oem components, i.e. the overbuilt, yet rust-prone, mild steel exhaust.

The excessive weight, muted sound and short lifespan posted a problem back at the time, only getting worse with the car aging.


For this fine BMW M classic we offer our state-of-the-art  tubular headers + full system, still built in its original form, which is extremely durable, and cures the rusting issue, once for all.

The step-design primaries and the oversize, race-inspired 3-into-1 collectors, make the Supersprint headers a proven performance addition.

The stainless steel, free-flowing front section (also available with HJS Motorsport catalytics) and the cat-back system, complete the headers to perfection.

Our exhaust guarantees a lighter weight, and elevates the sound of the S38 engine to a whole new level.

We have the widest range of exhaust parts available, to acommodate both the Euro and the US version, with the larger rear bumper, and also to equip the rare, 1987-1988 last model.

In addition to the Touring system, the Supersprint offering includes an oversized diameter, dual 60mm Motorport exhaust, made for the hardcore, racetrack enthusiasts.
