Our R&L Turbo Downpipe kit deletes the restrictions of the std., high density ceramic catalytic + particle filter system, replacing them all with high-volume, free-flowing HJS Motorsport units, connected by straight-through, non crushed, oversized diameter pipes.
The result is simply incredible, with gains reaching 50+ Hp, or even higher on the GPF, Euro versions.
This Supersprint downpipe system exploits the full potential of the AMG V8 engine, guaranteeing more hp, more torque, giving the car a throaty, brutal sound at the same time, with the AMG factory cat-back exhaust still in place.
But there is more to it.
While we had not planned on developing a cat-back exhaust section in the beginning, we re-evaluated the flowing and sound dynamics of the stock system and reconsidered our decision, designing a totally new system from the gound up.
The new Supersprint straight pipe system has a variable sound mode, retaining the same triple -valve function of the factoty exhaust, changing the tone and the pitch frequency from X-Pipe to separate mid pipes.
Our new cat-back exhaust provides for a majestic V8 sound, under all driving conditions, with absolutely no unwanted drone in the low rpm range at cruising speeds.
It retains the factory exhaust's electric valve servomotors and wiring harness, with no modification required for the install.
