As a simple, bolt-on performance addition, the Supersprint long tube, stainless headers system turns the 2008-2011 AMG SL 63 into a real Monster Roadster.

The legendary M156, high revving 6.2L V8, N/A engine, hand built individually at the AMG Factory in Germany, is 40 hp short from its full potential, as delivered.
Blame it on the awfully downsized, log-design exhaust manifolds, and on the restrictive, high-density cell, ceramic catalytic system.
In search of the best performance, the Supersprint R&D Team had designed, developed a long tube stainless headers, building it up from scratch, and a R&L front exhaust section with a set of HJS Motorsport, high volume, metallic catalytics, which eliminate the existing bottlenecks, making the engine finally breathe free.
The Supersprint Tubular Headers, with their race-inspired, 4-into-1 merge collectors, use 45mm stainless lightweight pipes, for the mandrel-bent individual primaries, and 70mm downpipes on the R & L exhaust branch.
Thanks to the Supersprint, floating-flange patented design, the individual primaries can be installed very easily into the engine bay, without the need for lifting or removing the engine itself.
The result is a huge increase in torque, from the rpm basement on up, and solid gains in peak hp as well.
A lower resistence to the exhaust gas flow also means less heat soak, more consistent performance.
These gains are impressive, averaging + 40 hp, + 70Nm in the low and mid area of the powerband.
We at Supersprint have also developed a cat-back exhaust, to complement our headers; the mid section is available in resonated or straight pipe versions, and with optional Sport or F1 Race rear mufflers.
The compound effect of the Supersprint full exhaust is a monumental, throaty V8 sound, with no droning at cruising speed.
As usual Supersprint stands for easy, straightforward installation, perfect fitment, unequaled durability.
